Reflections

I'm not sure what it is but every day around 2:15-2:30, we fall apart. We get chatty and loud and end our day on a sour note. Around 3:10, enough was enough. Those that were doing great all day (I think 8), received a treat and the rest of the class received a speech about how I can't fix this problem. They need to take a look at themselves and their behavior and fix and modify so that we can enjoy the final days of this year. They seemed receptive so hopefully, we'll do better.

Mrs. Vidic came in for Guidance this morning where we looked at interests and job ideas for the future. Then, in Math Workshop, we did some multi-digit multiplication and division review and then got started on our math project-using what we've learned this year. During lunch, some of the kiddos wanted to begin clubs so we had Club Day and got a few of them started: Film Club, Engineering and Architecture Club, Reading Club and Crafting Club. Once we came in from recess, we listened to 2 pharmacy students about medicine safety. Then, in Read Aloud, Lina took Doon to see the Instructions and they agreed that they were important and had something to do with the Pipeworks. The next day after work, Lina met Doon at the Pipeworks and they went to find this secret door but it was locked and there was a secret visitor.... Finally, we ended our day discussing economics. We began reviewing some vocabulary and discussing opportunity cost and then talking about entrepreneurs and how you can begin with a problem and discover a solution as a start.
