Hectic...loud...ahhh!

Oh my, it has been a day! So many kiddos were out of control today. Our schedule was a little off but it shouldn't have made them crazy...tomorrow we are going to have a do-over and try again! :)

We started our day with M4T and Ohio Dailies. Our morning question was for Motivational Monday and they had to write motivational messages to each other and then in meeting, talked about Autism for Autism Awareness/Acceptance Day (month), by reading My Brother, Charlie and sharing ways we can accept others. We said the Pledge of Allegiance and then wrote our SMART goal for the week. In Math Workshop, we learned/reviewed area and perimeter and then did some practice. Math was cut short as we had a school community meeting where we learned more R-factor practice with "Adjust and Adapt."

Then, we headed to Music, lunch and outdoor recess. For Read Aloud, we read, Miss Alaineous: a Vocabulary Disaster and did some practice with vocabulary words. Next, in Reader's Workshop, we read 2 Greek Myths and tried to understand the figurative language used...it was hard! Finally, we moved on to Social Studies to complete/fix our Branches of Government. Our day concluded with another Music where we met with 5th graders to discuss their experience with the musical as we will be doing another one next year!
