Productive but loud

This morning, I was a professional development meeting so the kiddos worked with Ms. Kelly on Reader's and Writer's Workshop to continue researching Ohio's Inventors and making their "trading cards." They also read independently and Ms. Kelly read, The Boy Who Invented the TV for Read Aloud. They had gym and then I was back for lunch and recess. They begged for me to read some of The City of Ember, so today was Lina's first day as Messenger. One of her messages took her to the Gathering Hall for a message to the mayor. Then, in Math Workshop, we looked over the AIR testing blueprint for the upcoming Math Test and then took the practice test using the protractor tool and the draw point and connect line tools on the ipads. After going over the answers, we found that we still would like some review with algebra and expressions as well as using the formula sheet for conversions of pints, quarts, cups and gallons. We finished up our day with a special Peeps MakerSpace challenge.
