Throwback Thursday
We had a pretty productive day even with a short morning because of music rehearsal. We started our day discussing things we've done this year that we enjoyed as well as things we've learned this year. Then, we lined ourselves up by birthday without talking for a little challenge this morning. It took them 10 minutes and yes, they were silent the entire team so it is possible! :) We only had a bit of time before rehearsal so we played another round of equivalent fraction land. It was indoor recess, thank goodness, because of the cold so we played board games and did a little GoNoodle for movement. In The Beaded Moccasins, they made it to Sequin's and did a little trading with him. He actually tried to trade 4 muskets for Mary! Grandfather did NOT allow that but he got an idea... Mary also had lied to Grandfather about being able to read and he found out her secret today which led us to discuss this idea about lying and if it is ever ok to lie. We then read independently and worked on dictionary skills, reading, padlet, blogging, word puzzles, etc. for Reader's Workshop and worked on our opinion essay in Writer's Workshop. Our day concluded working on weathering and erosion using our experiments and an online game, "Shape it up."
